ABOUT ME

My design career started about 15 years ago in Argentina. I started out as a graphic designer but gradually moved over to web design. I later moved to Spain, and then to London where I have spent the last 4 years specialising in UI and UX design.

Throughout my career I have worked on a vast range of projects in a variety of industries. I have thus developed a broad vision of design from user research, to concept and implementation, to validation.

CLAXMUSIC CASE STUDY

CLIENT

CLAXMUSIC is an artist management agency, booking agency, promoter, and record label based in Winterthur, Switzerland.

REQUIREMENT OUTCOME

  • Bold new brand
  • Easy to update - modular
  • Bilingual - German and English
  • Resoponsive - mobile first
  • Multimedia - Spotify and YouTube embeds, media downloads
  • Social

PROCESS

Firstly, we had a few remote interviews with the founder of CLAXMUSIC and discussed what were the business and client needs. His previous experience working as booking agent for festivals, plus research on the competition gave us a good starting point in defining the requirements. These covered problems, constraints and how booking agency websites are generally used.

Secondly we compiled the information needed for the main pages; band profiles, homepage content and a hierarchical content structure diagram.

Thirdly, I worked on a few variants of wireframes displaying the information in multiple ways outlining the basic structure of the site, navigation and information architecture (IA). Once we agreed on a structure, I worked on Photoshop mockups to show the actual look and feel of the site with the new branding.

After the look and feel was approved by the stakeholders, I moved onto the implementation of the site.

DIGITAL WINDOW CASE STUDY

CLIENT

Digital Window is the umbrella company for Affiliate Window's US & UK division, and part of the Zanox group.

REQUIREMENT OUTCOME

  • New modern identity symbolising transparency and innovation
  • Single page site
  • Fluid grid based
  • Minimal content - easy to update

PROCESS

I began with meeting key stakeholders from different departments; marketing, content managers, and board members. Together we assessed proposals from other agencies and reviewed our competitors.

I then came up with a few proposals for the structure and look and feel, and solicited feedback on these. From this feedback we decided on a direction for the site.

After a few iterations, we decided on a final design and proceeded to implementation.

AW MARKETPLACE MOBILE CASE STUDY

CLIENT

Affiliate Window is the UK’s leading Affiliate Marketing network, now belonging to Berlin-based Zanox AG, itself a part of Axel Springer media group. This grouping of companies forms a global online marketing network with offices in Europe, the US, Latin America, and Asia

REQUIREMENT OUTCOME

  • Native mobile app linked to existing API
  • High performance
  • Based on key KPIs and user needs
  • Progressive disclosure approach

PROCESS

Firstly, based on the information gathered for the Marketplace web app redesign (read desktop app case study), and following subsequent external user interviews, we came up with a list of must-have features for the mobile app.

Due to time constraints, it was decided to build a native app that will serve as a complement to the existing Marketplace web app. This allowed us to launch the product without waiting for the complete re-skin and responsive redesign scheduled for the web app.

We created a few wireframes and mock-ups, then after a few iterations decided on a final design.

CLIENT

Affiliate Window is the UK’s leading Affiliate Marketing network, now belonging to Berlin-based Zanox AG, itself a part of Axel Springer media group. This grouping of companies forms a global online marketing network with offices in Europe, the US, Latin America, and Asia.

REQUIREMENT OUTCOME

  • Overlay window on login
  • Targeted to new users only
  • Showcase key tools to get publishers started with affiliate marketing
  • Task oriented and chronological content structure reflecting on common user journeys
  • Video guide embeds
  • Interface walkthroughs

PROCESS

The business premise was “make affiliate marketing easier for starters”. We started off with some internal user research interviewing client facing staff from different departments like tech support, account managers and sales.

We identified the main user problems on the interface plus listed the key steps and tools needed when starting up an affiliate marketing business. This gave us a well educated content structure for the user guide.

For the key parts of the interface such as dashboard and directories, we used interactive walkthroughs highlighting different parts of the interface, and for the rest of the tools we also used video guides and graphics to make the guide less wordy and appealing.

After wireframing we also made a click dummy prototype and showed it to a few more stakeholders before implementing the final product.

Finally we also added Google Analytics to measure performance and see how the tool is used.

AW MARKETPLACE DESKTOP CASE STUDY

  • UI Redesign
  • Full width layout
  • Responsive
  • Progressive disclosure approach

PROCESS

We started off with some research on the existing interface, using Google Analytics and heatmaps to analyse which areas of the pages are used most.

Secondly, we interviewed a few internal and external stakeholders to determine how the site is used from different profiles - their frustrations and needs. We also did some card sorting sessions to improve the main navigation of the site and came up with a simplified structure and new labels.

We then started wireframing using all of the collected information, and after a few iterations we came up with a basic structure which covered both existing functionality and new KPIs.

Finally, we produced a new look and feel that could work with the requirements gathered and came up with a final prototype.
